Competition Rules

Official PROF Powerlifting Rulebook

1. Eligibility

Any individual aged 14 or older may compete in PROF events. Athletes must register with a valid government-issued ID and agree to the PROF Code of Conduct. Drug-tested and untested divisions are available.

2. Equipment & Video Requirements

Classic Raw: singlet, belt (max 10 cm), knee sleeves (max 30 cm), wrist wraps. Equipped: all above plus approved squat suit/bench shirt/deadlift suit. Video must show the full lift from setup to lockout at a 45–90 degree side angle with no cuts or pauses.

3. Squat

The athlete must squat to a depth where the crease of the hip is below the top of the knee. The lift begins on the judge's signal and is complete when the athlete returns to the starting position. Three attempts are allowed.

4. Bench Press

The bar must touch the chest (or approved shirt) and be pressed to full arm extension. The athlete must maintain contact with the bench and keep feet flat on the floor or on a platform. Pause is required on the chest.

5. Deadlift

The bar must be lifted from the floor to an upright position with knees locked and shoulders back. Hitching is not permitted. Sumo and conventional stances are both allowed.

6. Judging & Results

Each lift is reviewed by two independent judges. A lift is given a white light (good lift) if both judges approve. A red light (no lift) requires both judges to find a rule violation. In case of disagreement, a third senior judge casts the deciding vote.

7. Appeals

Athletes may appeal any judging decision within 48 hours of result publication. Submit the appeal through your dashboard with a written explanation. The PROF Appeals Committee will respond within 72 hours. The committee's decision is final.

8. Anti-Doping

PROF operates both tested (T) and untested (U) divisions. Athletes in the tested division agree to be subject to random WADA-compliant doping tests. Violations result in disqualification and a minimum 4-year ban.
