PROF is a federation built around openness, genuine competition, and minimal bureaucracy. We are looking for representatives ready to develop it in their cities and countries.
Mission
Making powerlifting a dignified and respected sport
The mission of the Power Republic Open Federation, like that of Power Republic as a whole, is to make powerlifting a respected, dignified sport — one where athletes feel like true professionals. We are building a federation where powerlifting can become a profession, not just a hobby. Through prize money at competitions, grants and stipends for athletes, and support from sponsors.
We stand for minimal bureaucracy and a complete absence of politically motivated decisions within the federation. Sport should be decided by sport — nothing else.
Principles
What the federation stands for
Openness
PROF's core principle is openness to every athlete, regardless of nationality, views, or any other circumstance. We believe that if an athlete cannot compete internationally for whatever reason, that should not mean the end of their career. We created a format that lets athletes from anywhere in the world compete in international tournaments without leaving their city or country.
Competition
We only recognize titles earned through genuine competitive struggle. Like much of the wider community, we find it absurd to see "world champions" who competed alone. That is precisely why the title of champion in powerlifting has lost much of its value in recent years — and PROF intends to fix that. In our system, access to each next level must be earned by a result at the level before it.

In smaller countries, a city may take the role of a region — the selection principle remains unchanged.
2. Open online cups
Flagship event: Power Republic Open Cup — one day, dozens of cities, a shared result.
Starting in 2027, PROF will also run local and regional competitions in cities and countries where federation representatives are already established.

Athletes competing at your tournaments get a chance to enter the TALENTUM foundation (for young athletes) or the support program for established strength athletes — something you can use to attract participants.
Income from PRG gear
Event organizers receive exclusive terms for purchasing Power Republic Gear equipment — for personal use or resale at tournaments.
A ready-made support system
A proprietary system for supporting athletes and running competitions removes most of the organizational burden from the representative.
Commercial terms
A transparent and simple model
PROF HQ charges no annual membership fees from federation representatives.
The only remittance to head office. Funds go toward site maintenance, secretarial services, and the World Championship prize fund.
